About Girls’ Ensemble

Girls’ Ensemble is a select, auditioned choral group. The choir upholds a distinguished history. In addition to Superior ratings, they received the Best Overall Choir award at the adjudicated Music in the Parks festival in 2018. Members are challenged and trained in advanced vocal technique.

This group performs outside of school for community and social events. Students must be enrolled in Combined Choir to participate in Girls’ Ensemble.

When We Rehearse

Girls’ Ensemble meets during 8th period on B and D days. The priority schedule is as follows:

B Days: Girls enrolled in an additional club attend their other activity.
D Days: All girls report to Girls’ Ensemble.

Rehearsal Guidelines

Girl’s Ensemble is a challenge that requires dedication. Students may only split club days with the following clubs: Jazz Band, NJHS, Student Congress, and Arcola Connections.

Members may not sign out of rehearsal on priority days (D day).

Students must remain academically eligible to participate in chorus. If a student is failing two or more classes, they may not attend rehearsal until their grades improve.
